Vessel at sea in heavy conditions
Industry

Marine

A hull breach does not wait for a work order. Damage control shoring, box patches, leak sealing, shipboard thermal, hard-line comms and deck rigging, stocked for vessels from motor yachts to cruise ships.

DC Shoring Kits

The kit is the plan.

TEAM damage control shoring is a threaded shaft and locking collar system built for one job: holding a patched hull and a strained bulkhead until you reach port. Five kits cover everything from a motor yacht to a cruise ship, and every component in every kit interlocks with the rest.

  • Five component classes: shores, extensions, bases, braces, connectors
  • Every kit includes a 12, 18 and 24 inch box patch set
  • Zone your vessel with a cache in each zone, so no locker is far away

The five kit options
20TDC-AFTLarge high-risk vessels: cruise ships, ferries, tankers. 10 shores, 7 extensions, braces and connectors. 700 lbs.
20TDC-FWDThe forward counterpart for large vessels. 7 shores, 7 extensions, holders and connectors. 535 lbs.
20TDC-BPLUSLarge and medium risk vessels. 8 shores, 8 extensions, latch connectors and holders. 610 lbs.
20TDC-BASICWorkboats, patrol ships, cargo, supply and offshore. 5 shores, 5 extensions. 390 lbs.
20TDC-MYMotor yachts and smaller patrol and workboats. 4 shores plus extensions. 320 lbs.

Every kit also carries rubber feet and pads, rail, corner and angle ends, carrying straps, shoring hammers, support ledges and a full 12, 18 and 24 inch box patch set.

Planning your lockers

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. We recommend more than one cache of equipment: divide the vessel into zones with a kit in each zone, so the gear is never on the wrong side of a closed watertight door.

Kits are built based on the size of the ship.

Box Patch

Don't give up the ship.

A breach from a grounding, a collision or a submerged object has to be contained fast, before flooding spirals past what the pumps can handle. The TEAM Splinter Box Patch is built to take the bulk of the ingress, ideally 80 percent or more, and hand the rest to your bilge pumps.

  • Lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum
  • Marine-grade white powder coat with blue reflective lettering
  • Closed-cell rubber gasket seals against an irregular hull
Crew seating a TEAM TBP-24 box patch over a leaking bulkhead below decks
Box Patch Size Options
TBP-1212 inch (30 cm) patch for small penetrations and split seams.
TBP-1818 inch (46 cm) patch, the mid-size workhorse.
TBP-2424 inch (61 cm) patch for the breach you hope never happens.
T3BPKITAll three sizes as one kit. One per DC locker.
How it is meant to work

The TEAM DC Box Patch is designed to contain the majority of water ingress—not stop it completely. By slowing the flooding and allowing your bilge pumps to manage the remainder, it buys valuable time to reach port. Back it with a MARQRBAG quick response grab-and-go bag beside it.

Shoring & Air Bags

Buy your pumps time.

A patch holds because something holds the patch, and a shifted load stays put because something made it. Paratech shoring takes the strain off a temporary seal, and heavy lifting air bags put the power of a crane in the palm of your hand.

  • Threaded shores, extensions, bases and braces in one interlocking system
  • Air bags lift, move or shift several tons on compressed air
  • Rated, repeatable and trainable

Paratech shoring

Fast, easy to deploy, and built for the harsh marine environment. Paratech Shoring includes shores, extensions, bases, braces, and connectors—all cross-compatible with the 20TDC kits.

Heavy lifting air bags

The lifting power of a crane or forklift in the palm of your hand. Paratech Air Bags fit into tight spaces where traditional jacks cannot, using compressed air to lift, move, or shift heavy loads with precise control. Ideal for shifted containers, machinery, and other heavy loads that need to be moved quickly.

Plug & Wedge

Plugs, wedges and a mallet.

The oldest answer to a leak is still the fastest. Tapered softwood plugs and wedges, heat treated so they drive clean and swell tight, for hull penetrations, pipe ruptures, sea chests and fuel lines.

  • MAR61 marine kit: 43 plugs and 15 wedges
  • TP715 hardwood and neoprene kit with AMPCO mallet
  • Heat treated to 56°C core for a minimum of 30 minutes

Hazardous and vapor control

For fuel and chemical service the TP715 adds neoprene plugs for vapor control and a non-sparking AMPCO mallet. Its neoprene plugs are molded to accept extension handles and powered impact tools, so you can seat a plug you cannot safely reach by hand.

FLIR Marine Cameras

Eyes for the night. And the smoke.

One line covers the whole thermal picture on board: M-Series pan and tilt cameras for navigation and man overboard, MTMS monitoring for the machinery you cannot watch, handheld Scouts for the deck bag and K-Series attack cameras for the fire below decks.

Monitoring: MTMS

The Marine Thermal Monitoring System watches engines, exhaust manifolds and shaft bearings around the clock, blends thermal and visible with MSX, and raises audible and visual alarms on your Raymarine or Garmin display the moment a temperature crosses its threshold.

RESCOM (Communication)

A voice where radios fail.

Steel hulls eat radio signal. RESCOM Elite hard-line kits put a wired, powered voice loop between the entrant, the attendant and the team, in engine rooms, voids, tanks and every below-deck space where a handheld is a liability.

  • Elite kits sized for 2, 3, 5 or 7 crew
  • DuraCORE communication cable, or combined safety and communication rope
  • Junction boxes scale the loop as the team grows

RESCOM Kit Options

Each Elite kit pairs a DMI-E master station with DSI-E crew stations, with a 100 ft or 300 ft main line.

2-ManOne main line, DMI-E master, one DSI-E station, medium equipment case.
3-ManTwo mains plus a 50 ft, two DSI-E stations, 4-port junction box, medium case.
5-ManFour mains plus a 50 ft, four DSI-E stations, 6-port junction box, large case.
7-ManSix mains plus a 50 ft, six DSI-E stations, 8-port junction box, large case.
Cable or rope: which one?
Communication RopeRescue rope and communication in one line. Use it when you want the entrant's life-safety line to also provide continuous hardline communication, reducing the number of separate lines in the confined space. A great two-in-one, with the comm equipment built into the rope. Does have an expiration date.
DuraCORE CableCommunication only. Use it when you want rugged hardline communications, especially in industrial environments where contamination and cleanup are concerns. Easy to clean, no expiration.

Rope color options are available: yellow (standard), blue, green, orange, purple and red.

Non-Sparking Tools

One spark is all it takes.

Fuel vapors, cargo dust and confined tanks do not forgive an ordinary steel tool. AMPCO aluminum bronze tools are spark resistant, non-magnetic and corrosion resistant, and TEAM builds them into cased kits ready for the DC locker.

  • Spark resistant, non-magnetic, corrosion resistant
  • Cased kits from 6 to 30 tools
  • The right mallet for every plug and wedge kit
