What we collect and why

Quote and contact requests

When you submit our quote form we receive the information you enter: your name, organization, email address, phone number, what you are interested in and your message. We use it to respond to your request, prepare quotes, check stock and follow up about the products you asked about. We may also tell you about product specials relevant to your request. Every marketing email we send includes a way to opt out.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses a consent tool. Strictly necessary cookies and storage run always, because the site cannot work without them; analytics and advertising cookies load only if you allow them, and you can change your answer at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in the footer of every page. Our Cookie Policy lists every item, what it does and how long it lasts. As of the date above, no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are switched on. We use a small piece of local browser storage to remember that you have already seen our loading animation during a visit; it identifies nothing about you and expires with your browsing session. If you use the accessibility menu (the round blue button in the bottom left corner), your display preferences, such as larger text or high contrast, are saved in your browser's local storage so they persist between visits; they contain no personal information and never leave your device. Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies for security and performance (for example, to protect against automated abuse). These are required for the site to function and do not track you across other websites.

Embedded video

Product videos on this site are embedded from YouTube using its privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set advertising cookies unless you press play. If you play a video, YouTube (Google) may collect data as described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Fonts and server logs

Our pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser sends your IP address to Google to fetch the font files. Like nearly all websites, our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic, such as which pages are visited and how fast they load. It is a privacy-first tool: it does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across other websites. We see only aggregate counts, never a profile of you. Details are in the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. If we ever adopt an analytics tool that works differently, we will update this policy first.

Advertising and remarketing

We may advertise Team Equipment on Google and on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram). To measure whether those ads work, and to show them to relevant audiences, advertising requires tags supplied by those companies to run on this site. Those tags set third-party cookies and send online identifiers, such as a cookie ID, device information and IP address, to Google and Meta, who act as independent controllers of that data under their own policies: the Google Privacy Policy and the Meta Privacy Policy.

No such tag loads unless you have allowed the advertising category in our consent tool. Declining costs you nothing: the site works identically, and you will still see our ads elsewhere, just not ones chosen using your activity here. As of the effective date above, no advertising tags are active on this site; the consent tool is already in place so that none can fire without being agreed to first.

We never send the contents of your quote or contact form, your name, your email address or your phone number to an advertising platform.

What we do not do

We never sell, rent or trade the information you give us directly, meaning your name, organization, email address, phone number and the contents of your messages. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own marketing. We disclose it only to service providers who help us operate, such as our email and form providers, and when the law requires it.

The one thing that deserves its own sentence: if you allow advertising cookies, the identifiers those cookies generate are shared with Google and Meta, which California law counts as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. That is why the choice is yours to make, and why you can withdraw it at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link in our footer.

How long we keep information

Quote and contact information is kept for as long as needed to serve you and maintain our business records. If you subscribe to product updates, we keep your name and email until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them.

Your rights

No matter where you live, you may ask us at any time to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, except for information we must keep for legal, administrative or security reasons. We honor these requests for every visitor, whether or not a specific privacy law requires it. To make any request, email team@teamequipment.com or call (727) 848-2424. We will confirm your identity using the information you provide (for example, by matching the email address a request came from), respond within 45 days, and never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA) gives you specific rights, and this section serves as our notice at collection:

• Categories we collect: identifiers and contact information (name, organization, email address, phone number) and commercial information (the products you ask about and our correspondence with you), all provided directly by you through our quote and contact forms; and internet activity in the form of standard server logs and cookieless aggregate analytics described above.
• Purposes: responding to your requests, preparing quotes, providing customer service, sending product updates you can opt out of at any time, and keeping the site secure. We keep this information only as long as described in "How long we keep information."
• Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information for money, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We also do not collect or use sensitive personal information beyond what is needed to provide our services, and we do not use it to infer characteristics about you. If you allow advertising cookies, the identifiers those cookies generate are disclosed to Google and Meta, and California treats that as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. You control it in three ways, any one of which is enough: leave the advertising category switched off in our consent banner, use the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page at any time, or send a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, which we detect automatically and honor as a valid opt-out without you doing anything further. Advertising is off unless and until you turn it on.
• Your rights: to know what personal information we have collected about you, to access it in a portable format, to correct it, to delete it, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising any right.
• How to exercise them: email team@teamequipment.com or call (727) 848-2424. You may also use an authorized agent; we will ask the agent for proof of your written permission and may verify your identity directly. We respond within 45 days and will tell you if we need a 45-day extension.
• "Shine the Light": under California Civil Code Section 1798.83, California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Other U.S. state privacy rights

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws, including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana and others, have similar rights of access, correction, deletion, portability and opt-out of targeted advertising, sale and profiling. We do not sell personal information for money and we do not profile you in ways that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Targeted advertising happens only if you switch the advertising category on, and you can switch it back off at any time through the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer or by sending a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honor automatically. Your access, correction and deletion rights work exactly as described in "Your rights" above. Nevada residents: under NRS 603A you may direct us not to sell covered information; we do not sell covered information, and you may still submit the request to team@teamequipment.com, which we will honor. If you believe we have not resolved a privacy concern, your state attorney general's office accepts consumer complaints; we would appreciate the chance to resolve it directly first.

Visitors from outside the United States

This site is operated from the United States and is intended for U.S. customers, and any information you submit is processed and stored in the United States. If you visit from the EU, UK or another region with data protection laws such as GDPR, the legal bases for our processing are your consent (when you submit a form) and our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection described above, plus the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use a reputable hosting provider, keep our software current and limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you. No method of transmission over the internet is 100 percent secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.

Children

Our site and products are intended for professional buyers. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will post the updated version here with a new effective date. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
